People Not Labels

Free training resources to help understand the challenges facing people with learning disabilities and autism.

Labels are convenient for planning services, spending money and collecting data – but they do not define the person.

Personalised Support

Ensuring support is personalised and coordinated.

By applying the principles of person-centred care, we can support people with learning disabilities and autism to recognise and develop their own strengths and abilities to enable them to live an independent and fulfilling life.

Positive Risk Taking

Making improvements to a person’s care and support requires changes that need to be managed safely.

Sometimes we err to much on the side of caution and people end up not getting the care and support they need and deserve. This course looks at how to identify and manage risks in a positive way for a person with learning disabilities and autism.
