About Us

All Kinds of Minds Ltd is an adult autism and ADHD diagnostic service grounded in neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and identity-respecting practice. We are led by HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists with extensive NHS experience and lived expertise in neurodivergence, and offer a high-quality, compassionate alternative to deficit-based diagnostic pathways.

Our approach is rooted in NHS England’s Patient Choice regulations. Many autistic and ADHD adults β€” particularly women, non-binary individuals, and those from marginalised backgrounds β€” report that traditional assessments do not recognise masked or internalised presentations and often lack cultural or trauma sensitivity. Our model addresses this gap by providing assessments that are collaborative, strengths-based, and psychologically safe.

We follow NICE-compliant, multidisciplinary diagnostic processes while prioritising accessibility, representation, and post-diagnostic support. Our team includes neurodivergent professionals and our model is continuously shaped by lived experience and client feedback.

We are based at The Cocoon Therapy Space, Durham β€” a neuro-affirming clinical hub that also offers OT and sensory-integration assessment. This space enables a calm, inclusive assessment experience with access to related support services.

To ensure regional coverage and maximise patient access, we also use NHS Open Space venues across the North East and North Cumbria, offering flexible face-to-face appointments in NHS settings. Additionally, we provide a fully remote option for those who prefer or require online assessment.

We offer reasonable adjustments, use inclusive language, and communicate clearly around sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs. Our service reduces access barriers while enhancing choice and equity β€” supporting NHS goals to improve diagnostic pathways and respond to diverse needs through Right to Choose.
